- The Virtual Veterans 6 Main Interface provides the user with access =
to
all of the applicable modules within the software suite. The interfa=
ce
is broken down into four Categories: Office Organizer, Batch Process=
ing,
Veteran Information, and System information. Under each category, th=
ere
are applications that can be utilized by the user to complete their
daily activities. The new interface has been designed to feel and
function in a manner that is similar to working on a website.

- Under the category of Office Organizer, the user can Add new
appointments and tasks, View the waiting room, Review existing tasks,
Access their appointment calendar, and Record Activities related to a
specific Veteran or General Office Duties.

- Through the use of a batch processing utility, the user has advanced
document management capabilities to scan, index, sort, and organize
paperwork. The Awards, Ratings, Claims and General Paperwork batch
processors are specifically designed based on the types of documents
associated with each category. This simplifies the indexing and
organization process when entering large quantities of documents.

- When working within the Veteran File, the user can Review existing
claims and documents, Request a copy of the Veteran’s DD-214 f=
rom
the State, and either File new Federal, State and Local Claims or In=
take
Federal, State and Local Claims depending upon your position within =
the
filing process.

- System Information is utilized to manage the creation of new reports,
database manipulation and Email.

- Appointment - Access a data entry screen to schedule appointments and
meetings for yourself. All entries are displayed in the calendar and
organized chronologically by date and time. In the event that someone
else is also scheduling appointments for you, those appointments will
also be compiled with the ones that you set for yourself in your
calendar.
- Record Activity - Access a data entry screen to log office activities
including: phone calls, emails, letters, faxes, hearings, outreach
visits, and office visits. The entire office organizer is available =
for
use concurrently with other Virtual Veteran 6 Modules.
- Calendar - Review your schedule in a comprehensive calendar format to
complete and close both Appointments and Tasks.
- Working Notes - Access a continuous unlimited memo space to keep tra=
ck
of personal or work related notes that are not associated with the
Veteran’s File.
- Task - Access a data entry screen to enter a pending task and assign=
it
to a veteran file. These tasks are compiled into a comprehensive
“To Do” list for the user and can be viewed collectively
under “All Tasks”.
- Waiting Room - View a listing of Veterans waiting to be seen, access
Veteran Files and Claims, and automate the process of moving a Veter=
an
through the office.
- All Tasks - Review both Pending and Completed Tasks, re-assign tasks=
to
other personnel, and remove completed tasks from your “To
Do” List.

a group of documents, and link Awards to a Veteran’s File.
- Federal Rating Decisions - Intake Disability Ratings and associated
Documents, Organize and Index each individual document or assign a
single index to a group of documents, and link Ratings to a
Veteran’s File.
- General Paperwork - Intake Personal Documents, Medical Records, and
general paperwork, Organize and Index each individual document or as=
sign
a single index to a group of documents, and link Documents to a
Veteran’s File.

ties
and Status Codes assist the user in completing the review in a timely
and efficient manner.
- State Benefits - State Representatives will be able to receive and
review claim packets from County Service Officers.
- County Service Officer - Enter new Claims for a Veteran; complete Lo=
cal,
State, and Federal Forms; Create transmittal letters, follow-up on t=
asks
assigned to the Veteran.
- Request Discharge - Authorized personnel can request copies of Veter=
an
DD-214 papers via email from their state organization.

reports or alter existing report designs.
- System Reports - Run and Print reports.
- System Codes/Utilities - Manipulate user defined code listings to
customize the itemized lists utilized by drop down boxes throughout =
the
system. Create standardized addresses for care facilities and
cemeteries. Enter your office’s return address and general con=
tact
information for use in reports. Assign User names, passwords and
privileges.
- Mail - Receive veteran paperwork from the state POA and benefits
processing departments.

- The Virtual Veterans 6 software will be released following the
completion of beta testing in Minnesota. Please look for next

expected release dates.
